August 2026: Willow Chernoske presented their work on Accessible Medication Monitoring for Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Care at the ITHS 3-minute thesis competition in Bozeman, Montana and was selected as one of the winners! They will now get the opportunity to share this work at the ACTS Translational Science Conference in Washington, DC next year. Congratulations and way to go, Willow!
August 2026: Caitlin Anderson, Dorothy (Dot) Mims, and Kelsey Leong shared the lab’s work on HIV therapeutic drug monitoring, drug resistance testing, and at-home plasma separation at the **1st African Forum: Diagnostics at the Frontline** pre-conference to the HIV, Infectious Diseases, and Global Health Science of Implementation Conference (VISTA) in Cape Town, South Africa. After the conference, the team traveled to clinical and research sites in Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg to learn more about implementation of our work to help increase the accessibility of tools for monitoring HIV prevention and treatment.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to share our work, learn from researchers and clinicians around South Africa, and build new connections from around the world! Thank you to all who took the time to meet with us, share their expertise, and show us their research and clinical sites.
