- January 2025: Willow Chernoske joined our lab as a PhD student working on therapeutic drug monitoring among transplant recipients.
- January 2025: Dorothy Mims has completed her rotation and joined our lab as a PhD student working on point-of-care tests for HIV drug resistance screening. Welcome Dot!
- January 2025: Sarina Barnes and George Tang joined our lab as Master’s of Applied Bioengineering students doing research in the lab. Welcome to the team!
- October 2024: We went to MicroTAS 2024 in Montreal! Aileen Sun , Carrie Lin , Cosette Craig, and Kelsey Leong all presented posters. Kelsey was also one of the facilitators of the Frugal Diagnostics: Science Equity for Global Health workshop.

- October 2024: Cara Brainerd defended her PhD thesis: Towards Rapid Measurement of Non-Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors in a Portable, Low-Cost Platform We were blown away by her storytelling and data on technology that could have real-world impact in HIV treatment and prevention. Congratulations Cara! This is a big milestone for you and the lab! 🎉
